Explosion on Monday evening in Orangi Town area of Karachi city of Pakistan killed a Pakistan Rangers Officer and Injured 10 others.
As per the statement of Suhai Aziz West Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), the attack was apparently directed at the Rangers personnel who were passing through the area in a vehicle when the bomb – fitted in a parked motorcycle exploded.
As a result of this explosion 3 Pakistan Rangers and 7 other people got injured. All of them were shifted to different hospitals and one Pakistan Rangers succumbed to his injuries.
Omar Shahid Hamid, the CTD DIG said, banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) had claimed responsibility for the attack through their social media account.
The police’s Counter-Terrorism Department launched an investigation and trying to obtain CCTV footage from the site of the blast.
