20-year-old man shot to death in North York on Sunday night

Police was able to identify the 20 year old man as Hashim Omar Hashi who was shot to death on Sunday night at parking garage in North York.

Police was called at Jane Street and Falstaff Avenue on Sunday at about 8:56 p.m.as police was informed about automatic gunfire in the area.

According to police Hashim pulled up to the parking at 40 Falstaff Avenue in an SUV suddenly a person approached from the passenger side of the SUV and fired multiple shots at him.

According to many witness the shots were in very rapid succession like they were fired using an automatic gun.

After Hashim was short his SUV rolled into the doors of the parking garage.

The suspect fled from the spot in a vehicle and their vehicle was last seen heading east on Falstaff Avenue.

According to the police Hashim died on the spot.

Hashim is the 5th homicide victim in Toronto this year.

According to locals Hashi lived in the area for many years.

Police also informed that the vehicle used by the suspect was found burning at about 1 pm in Earl Bales Park which is 10 km away from the crime scene. The suspect’s vehicle has been towed.
