Incoming travelers to Canada forced into self-paid hotel quarantine

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced this morning that Air Canada, Sunwing, WestJet and Air Transat will be suspending some flights to certain destinations and also to make arrangement for the customer in these regions not to take flight back home.

The Prime Minister said soon he will be introducing a mandatory PCR test at the airports for all travelers returning to Canada this is even after mandatory pre-boarding test.

After the test all travelers have to wait for the result at a pre-approved hotel for 3 days at their own expense that according to the Prime Minister could be more than $2000. Only those people with Covid-19 negative result will be able to finish their 14-day quarantine at home under increased surveillance.

These rules are made to discourage people from traveling.

According to Justin Trudeau by putting these measures we can hope for better times when we will be able to plan vacations.
