A 28 years old man blocked Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan’s car in Mumbai’s Goregaon East near Film City on Tuesday morning. After blocking the actor’s car the man urged Ajay to support the farmer’s protest against the new farm laws.
The man named Rajdeep Singh is a driver by profession was arrested after this incident on charges of intimidation and the police is investigating if he has any connection with the farmer’s protest.
Ajay was in his car and was heading towards the FilmCity and there was an ongoing traffic jam due to construction in the area at Santosh Nagar nullah when the accused spotted Ajay’s car while he was driving his auto at about 8:55 am.
Rajdeep Singh stopped his auto came out and blocked Ajay’s Car and wanted to talk to the actor and asked Ajay to come out of the car.
He wanted to have a conversation with the actor about the farmer’s protest in North India and urged the actor to support the farmer’s protest as Ajay’s bodyguards tried to move him away which lead to a scuffle between Singh and Ajay’s bodyguard.
Singh kept asking Ajay to come out of his car. The matter was reported to the police at Dindoshi police station and Singh was arrested. Singh is believed to be from Punjab and supports the ongoing farmer’s protest against the 3 new farm laws introduced by the Central Government of India.
Ajay Devgan is among the celebrities who tweeted in support of the Indian Government and supported the new farm law. Ajay supported along with some other celebrities backed the Indian Government after International celebrities like Rihanna and activists like Greta Thunberg had spoken out in support of the protesting farmers.
