Who Is Jasveen Sangha, “Ketamine Queen” Charged With Matthew Perry’s Death

New Delhi: Among the five individuals charged in connection with actor Matthew Perry’s death from a drug overdose last year is a woman named Jasveen Sangha, commonly known as “the Ketamine Queen.” Investigators have identified Ms. Sangha as the supplier of the lethal dose of ketamine that caused Mr. Perry’s death.

Ms. Sangha, a 41-year-old dual citizen of the United Kingdom and the United States, has long been under the watch of federal authorities due to her involvement in the distribution of dangerous narcotics. She earned the moniker “Ketamine Queen of Los Angeles” for allegedly running a drug operation out of her North Hollywood residence. According to a federal indictment, her home was described as a “drug-selling emporium” where methamphetamine, cocaine, and prescription drugs like Xanax were stored, packaged, and distributed.

Ms. Sangha’s drug operation, which reportedly dates back to at least June 2019, came under heightened scrutiny after her arrest in March for selling methamphetamine in a separate case. During a raid on her home, federal agents seized 79 bottles of liquid ketamine and nearly 2,000 methamphetamine pills, showcasing the scale of her illegal activities.

Matthew Perry, the beloved ‘Friends’ actor who had long struggled with addiction, died on October 28 last year from a ketamine overdose at his home. Investigators revealed that Mr. Perry had obtained the fatal dose of ketamine through a broker, Eric Fleming, who sourced the drug from Ms. Sangha.

Court documents indicate that Ms. Sangha supplied Mr. Fleming with 50 vials of ketamine in two separate transactions leading up to Mr. Perry’s death. Mr. Perry first sampled the drug on October 13, and Mr. Fleming later delivered two large batches to his home on October 14 and October 24. As a bonus for the size of Mr. Perry’s order, Ms. Sangha even included “ketamine lollipops.”
