Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and her cricketer hubby Virat Kohli are now the possessors of an eight-acre grange in the plush Alibaug area near Mumbai.
The grange is spread over 8 acres of land near Zirad, a vill in Alibaug, and the couple, according to media reports, have spent nearly Rs19.24 crore to acquire the property.
The report, which appeared in ETimes, notes that the couple paid a deposit of Rs1.15 crore to the government storeroom.
Virat’s family, Vikas Kohli, completed the sale a day before Ganesh Chaturthi. The cricketer is now in Dubai, playing for Team India in the Asia Cup. The sale was overseen by a well- known real estate company named Samira territories. Anushka and Virat had visited and audited the place six months agone. Thanks to his packed schedule, Virat couldn’t come to Alibaug and lock the deal.
Along with businessmen, film actors and cricketers have been buying land and structuring country homes in the scenic surroundings of Alibaug. Former cricketer, public trainer and judge Ravi Shastri, too, had erected a house in Alibaug about a decade agone.
