The world joins hands to rescue India from 2nd wave of Coronavirus

Countries across the world have come forward to help India in its fight against the raging 2nd wave of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 2nd wave of the pandemic is extremely virulent and has ravaged India in the past few weeks.

The US, the UK, Russia, France, Australia, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Ireland, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, the UAE, and Kuwait, have assured medical aid to India and all their support on its way to fight with the 2nd wave of Coronavirus.

The UK is sending 120 non-invasive ventilators, 20 manual ventilators, and 495 oxygen concentrators this week, and 95 oxygen concentrators and 100 ventilators have already arrived on Tuesday.

France is sending relief material in 2 phases. In the 1st phase, it is sending 8 large oxygen generating units that can be installed quickly, liquid oxygen, 28 respirators, and their consumables as well as 200 electric syringe pushers are arriving this week. In the 2nd phase, 5 liquid oxygen containers will arrive in the coming week.

Ireland will be sending 700 oxygen concentrators this week.

Germany will be sending a mobile oxygen production unit which will be made available for three months as well as 120 ventilators and 80 million KN95 masks.

As per the announcement made by Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Tuesday that Australia will be sending 500 ventilators, 1 million surgical masks, 500,000 P2, and N95 masks, 100,000 goggles, 100,000 pairs of gloves, and 20,000 face shields.

Russia and Kuwait also promised to send medical supplies.

Private channels from many countries also sending medical supplies as Singapore is sending 250 oxygen concentrators, 500 BiPAPs, 4 Cryogenic oxygen containers as well as some other medical supplies.

Saudi Arabia’s 80 MT of liquid oxygen is already on its way via the sea route.

Hong Kong is helping with 800 oxygen concentrators.

Thailand is sending 4 Cryogenic oxygen tanks.

6 Cryogenic oxygen containers are coming from UAE.

India’s Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) is in process of importing 23 mobile oxygen generation plants from Germany.

The US has committed to providing a range of emergency assistance like oxygen-related supplies, therapeutics, and vaccine materials after US President Joe Biden spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the phone on Monday.
