Australia has suspended flights from India due to the 2nd wave of the Covid-19 outbreak.
On Tuesday Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced that all flights from India to Australia will be halted until 15th May.
According to the Prime Minister, indirect flights through other cities were suspended by the Australian government, and repatriation flights run by the Australian government for getting Australian residents and citizens stuck in the country home would restart as soon as possible.
The Prime Minister said, “We don’t think the answer is to just forsake those in India and just shut them off”.
