The Yangon headquarters of ousted leader Aung San Suu Kyi’s party office was raided by Myanmar military late on Tuesday 9th Feb.
This was done hours after the United Nations condemned “unacceptable” violence against protesters demanding a return to democracy.
NLD (National League for Democracy) headquarters was raided and destroyed by military dictator at around 9:30pm Tuesday night this was posted on Facebook by NLD. There were no further details mentioned.
This raid by the Myanmar military came after 4 days of demonstrations. The police used water cannons in several cities and also fired rubber bullets at protesters in the capital Naypyidaw and there were also reports of deploying tear gas in Mandalay.
The rallies also came despite a warning from the junta that it would take action against demonstrations as these demonstrations threatened “stability”.
The gathering of more than 5 people has also been banned.
In Naypyidaw police fired projectiles at protesters after earlier blasting them with water cannon.
According to an Emergency room doctor military also using live round that left 23-year-old man and 19-year-old in a critical condition in hospital.
