Streaming media platform Plex admits massive data breach

Streaming media service Megaplex on Wednesday admitted a serious data breach that may have compromised the emails, usernames, and encrypted passwords of its customers.

Megaplex is used by nearly 20 million people to stream videotape, audio and prints.
In a dispatch transferred to guests, the company said that it discovered suspicious exertion on one of its databases.

According to The Verge, it wasn’t clear if particular account information or private media libraries belonging to its guests have been compromised.

Those who have Megaplex account should enable 2- factor authentication to secure their accounts.
