Microsoft Cloud Outage Live Updates: Resolution Is Coming, Says Microsoft Spokesperson Amid Global Outage

A global Microsoft outage is causing widespread disruption across various sectors, including flights, supermarkets, and banking operations. In India, airlines such as Vistara, IndiGo, SpiceJet, and Akasa Air are experiencing technical difficulties affecting bookings, check-ins, and flight updates. As a result, airlines are manually checking in passengers.

Australia is among the hardest-hit countries. According to The Sydney Morning Herald, ABC News 24 struggled to broadcast news segments, and checkout systems crashed at Woolworths supermarkets, leaving customers unable to use their cards. Police systems also went down.

Melbourne airport reported that the check-in processes of several airlines are affected by a global technology issue. Virgin Australia stated that the outage has grounded all flights at Sydney Airport, halting both incoming and outgoing flights.

The London Stock Exchange has also been affected by the outage. In the United States, the Federal Aviation Administration reported that several major airlines, including Delta, United, and American Airlines, grounded flights on Friday morning due to a communication issue. Emergency services, including 911, have been impacted in several states. British news channel Sky News has been off the air for hours.

In Europe, technical issues are causing check-in delays in Amsterdam. At Berlin Brandenburg Airport in Germany, flight operations were canceled due to the “technical problem,” and it remains unclear when flights will resume. Zurich Airport, Switzerland’s largest, suspended all arrivals because of the tech outage.

Millions of Windows users worldwide are experiencing the Blue Screen of Death, causing computers to shut down or restart repeatedly. This disruption is leading to lost unsaved data and critical time for users.

Affected systems display a message stating, “Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We’re just collecting some error info, and then we’ll restart for you.”
