It was announced on Thursday that the superstar Thursday will be honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
The superstar took on tweeter to thank the government of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as Raj Bahadur, who was the bus driver who used to inform Rajinikanth about acting auditions during the days he was a bus conductor.
On the tweeter, he said, “For discovering my acting skill and for encouraging me, my friend Raj Bahadur”.
He also thanked his brother Sathyanarayana Rao Gaekwad for the sacrifices he made to make him an actor even when they were poor.
Rajinikanth made his acting debut with filmmaker K. Balachander’s “Apoorva Raagangal” in 1975, he also thanked Balachander for being his guru and teach him acting.
The Super- Star also thanked Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam as well as the leader of the Opposition MK Stalin and other leaders.
He thanked his friend and colleague Kamal Haasan.
He further thanked all directors, producers, stunt master, and theatre owners, technicians, and everyone who helped him on his acting career.
Earlier in the day, he was congratulated by PM Modi and many actors and filmmakers associated with South Indian films.
In the end, Rajinikanth said, “Jai Hind” as well as the slogan, live and let live.
