PM Modi Breaks Down At PMAY Event In Maharashtra, Says: ‘Wish I Had A Home Like This .

The Prime Minister dedicated 90,000 houses completed under PMAY-Urban in Maharashtra and 15,000 houses of Raynagar Housing Society in Solapur. He acclaimed the design as “the country’s largest society erected under PM Awas Yojana.”

In New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi became emotional as he spoke about a massive housing society project recently completed in Maharashtra. Expressing his wish to have had the opportunity to live in such a house during his youth, he recounted, “I went and saw the design, and I admitted that I wish I too had a chance to live in such a house in my youth,” the Prime Minister said, struggling to hold back tears.

The beneficiaries of the Solapur project include thousands of handloom workers, merchants, power loom workers, rag pickers, beedi workers, and drivers. “Happiness comes when people’s dreams come true. Their blessings are my biggest asset,” he stated.

Addressing a gathering in Solapur, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for 8 AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) projects worth around ₹2,000 crore in the state.

PM Modi, emphasizing that his government is inspired by Lord Ram’s principles of governance with honesty, urged people to light “Ram Jyoti on January 22,” the day a grand sanctification ceremony would take place at Ayodhya Ram temple. “Modi’s promise means ‘guarantee puri hone ki guarantee.’ Lord Ram taught us to recognize commitments made, and we’re fulfilling all promises we set for the welfare of the poor and their empowerment,” he affirmed.

During the program, the Prime Minister also distributed the first and second installments to 10,000 beneficiaries of PM-SVANIDHI in Maharashtra.

Earlier, PM Modi advised the public not to visit Ayodhya on January 22 and instead celebrate the day like Diwali by lighting a diya in their homes. He is scheduled to attend the ‘pran pratishtha’ or sanctification ceremony at the Ram temple, which is expected to be open to the public the following day.
