After losing 5 matches KKR was able to get a convincing victory as they beat Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 5 wickets in their IPL match on Monday at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
KKR was backed by some disciplined bowling from their spinners that helped restrict PBKS to 123/9 in 20 overs.
A 66-run 4th wicket partnership between skipper Eoin Morgan (47 not out off 40 balls) and Rahul Tripathi (41 off 32 balls) provided the base and KKR easily chased down the target with 3.2 overs to spare.
While bowling KKR spinners Sunil Narine took 2/22 and Varun Chakravarthy scalped 1/24 and KKR kept on picking up wickets at regular intervals to derail the PBKS innings.
The final Score was PBKS 123/9 (20) & KKR 126/5 (16.4).
KKR won by 5 wickets with 20 balls to left.
