3,510 new cases Covid-19 cases reported in Ontario today

3,510 new cases Covid-19 cases and 24 virus-related deaths reported in Ontario today.

33,822 tests were done in the last 24 hours and 10.9% is the positivity rate.

Toronto reported 1,015 new cases, Peel Region reported 909 new cases, Durham Region reported 244 new cases and Ottawa reported 206 new Covid-19 cases.

All non-essential travel has been banned by Ontario Premier Doug Ford due to the discovery of the B.1.617 variant in Ontario.

B.1.617 variant has led to explosive Covid-19 case growth in India. This variant recorded more than 350,000 new Covid-19 cases on Monday alone.
