Joe Biden wants to withdraw American troops from Afghanistan by 11th September 2021.

According to a senior administration official, US President Joe Biden wants to withdraw American troops from Afghanistan by 11th September 2021, which is the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

The US President is under pressure to make a decision on the deployment of troops in Afghanistan. The US had a sustained military presence in Afghanistan for the past 19 years.

He might make the formal announcement today as this was reported on Tuesday.
