Actor Asif Basra, 53 years old was found hanging on Thursday in a private complex in Dharamshala, He was well known for his roles in Jab We Met, Kai Po Che! and Once Upon a Time in Mumbai.
The Police found the actor hanging a team of forensic experts is on the spot. The police said he hanged himself today at around 12-12.30 and they are investigating the matter and sent the body for post-mortem. As per Prima facie, it is a case of suicide The police are investigating the case and we have to wait for further details.
It is said Actor Asif Basra had property on lease for the past 5-6 years in Upper Dharamshala and McLeodganj.
In over two decades- career Asif played a supporting role in many critically-acclaimed films like Parzania, Black Friday, and Outsourced.
He is best known for his role in Jab We Met where he played a cunning stall owner in 2007 along with Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. He played Imran Hashmi’s father.
Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai in 2010. Asif Basra was recently starred in super hit series Paatal Lok on Amazon Prime Video.
