Indian ministers and celebrities give unprecedented reaction to tweet by Rihanna, Other Celebs

Rihanna, Greta Thunberg, Mia Khalifa and many other prominent foreign celebrities tweet in support of Indian farmers who are protesting against new farm law in India. Now farmers protests in India have captured global attention.

The government of India gave a sharp and unprecedented response stating that ‘temptation of sensationalist social media hashtags and comments’ and also mentioned that the farmers protesting are very small section of farmers and do not represent India’s farmers. The Government also said before making comments celebrities should ascertain the facts and understand the issue. Giverment also said the law was passed in the Parliament after debate and discussion for reforming the agricultural sector. A very small set of farmers are against these reforms.

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has also supported protesting farmers after Rihanna and Greta Thunberg as well as Jacqueline was joined by American influencer Amanda Cerny in support of protesting farmers. Amanda hosts a podcast with Jacqueline.

Rihanna was also criticized by actress Kangana Ranaut, criciter Pragyan Ojha and other Indian celebrities.
