Indian Navy will participate in the France-led naval war game ‘La Perouse’ in the Bay of Bengal next month for the first time.
Australia, Japan, and the US will also participate in the naval game name La Perouse but India is participating in it for the first time.
This France-led naval drill is scheduled between 5th April and 7th April.
After ‘La Perouse’ India will take part in another important naval exercise, the India-French Varuna exercise, which will also include the United Arab Emirates.
The India-French Varuna exercise will take place in the last week of April in the Western Indian Ocean.
India’s maritime diplomacy involves naval exercises with many friendly nations keeping in mind China’s increasing influence in the Indian Ocean Region.
