Punjabi singer Diljaan Singh killed in a car accident near Amritsar (Punjab), India, on Tuesday. Diljaan was 31 years old.
He is survived by his wife and children who all are settled in Canada.
The accident took place at 2.30 a.m. when Diljaan was traveling from Kartarpur town, near Jalandhar to Amritsar in his car (Mahindra KUV 100).
He was taken to a private hospital where he was declared dead.
According to the police, Diljaan’s car hit a stationary truck near Jandiala Guru which is about 20 km away from Amritsar, on the Amritsar-Delhi National Highway.
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, in his condolence message, said “it is “extremely sad to lose young lives like these on road”.
Diljaan became famous with the reality TV show ‘Sur Kshetra’ in 2012.
The singer was about to release new songs ‘Tere Warge’ and ‘Hanju’. He posted on Facebook he is excited about his new songs.
