Church in Toronto challenges ‘unconstitutional’ COVID-19 lockdown measures

A Church in Toronto challenged Ontario’s lockdown restrictions that limit religious gatherings to just ten people. The Church says it is ‘unconstitutional’.

Toronto International Celebration Church filed an application in the Superior Court of Justice challenging the COVID-19 lockdown measures that limit religious gatherings to just 10 people.

According to Church’s founding Pastor Peter Youngren argues that the restrictions law violates religious freedoms as well as church keeps its door open while following maintaining public health standards at this time when people are suffering with isolation, depression and a sense of despair.
