Canada is set to return a stone sculpture of goddess Annapurna to India, which may have been taken and shipped to the nation longer than a century back. Specialists have believed that the eighteenth century sculpture was initially from Varanasi.
In any case, it was later added to the assortment housed at the University of Regina’s MacKenzie Art Gallery.
As a part of the procedure, the sculpture was handed over by the interim president and vice-chancellor of the University of Regina, Thomas Chase, to Ajay Bisaria, to India’s high commissioner to Ottawa
