The Asia Cup T20 tournament that was scheduled to be held in June and hosted by Sri Lanka has been postponed indefinitely due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ashley de Silva, the Sri Lanka Cricket chief executive said on Wednesday, “”Due to the prevailing situation, it will not be possible to play the tournament in June this year.”
Asia Cup T20 was originally scheduled to be held in September 2020 in Sri Lanka was postponed to June 2021 due to Covid-19. But again the unrelenting pandemic has played spoilsport and the tournament might be postponed till next year.
