Ranbir Kapoor’s film “Animal” continues to make a significant impact at the Indian box office. Having entered the ₹500-crore club on day 17, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial is now on the verge of reaching the ₹600-crore mark. The action-drama, centered around a father-son story, grossed ₹5 crore at the domestic box office on day 19, bringing its total earnings to ₹522.94 crore, as reported by Sacnilk. This achievement follows the film’s successful performance on its third Monday, with earnings of ₹5.5 crore on Day 18.
The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor as Ranvijay Singh Balbir and boasts an ensemble cast including Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Triptii Dimri, Anil Kapoor, and Shakti Kapoor.
The performances of both Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol in the film have received praise from both audiences and critics. In their first collaboration on screen, the two actors have expressed mutual admiration. Bobby Deol, referring to Ranbir Kapoor as “an amazing guy,” mentioned in a conversation with News18 that he is “a big fan of Ranbir.” Deol appreciated Kapoor’s respect and support, emphasizing that despite Kapoor being a superstar, he showed humility by jointly promoting the film without attempting to steal the limelight.
Bobby Deol, portraying the antagonist Abrar Haque in the film, added, “He’s a gem of a guy. What’s similar between us is that we’re both very family-oriented, coming from film families, and understanding the industry. That connection was evident. I am a big fan of Ranbir. He’s my favorite actor, and he’s the best. I was completely mesmerized by him. We were so much in sync, sharing a chemistry that was natural and magical. I loved every moment.”
“Animal” was released in theaters on December 1, competing with Vicky Kaushal’s “Sam Bahadur.”
