On September 15, at approximately 6:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of a break in at an ice cream restaurant on Main Street, Unionville. While investigating, officers discovered that three other businesses had also been broken into overnight in the same area.
The suspect was identified as Malik Eli Emenike Ugwuala, 23, of Markham and a warrant was executed at his residence. Officers located evidence connecting the suspect to the incidents, however the suspect has not been located.
The Suspect is described as male, Black, 5’10-5’11, about 180 lbs. with a thin build and black beard
The suspect has also been linked to several other incidents including robberies and break and enters that occurred on August 28, 2020 in the Unionville area. A warrant has been issued for his arrest and he is encourage to consult with legal counsel and turn himself in.
