Virat Kohli the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain has been reprimanded for breaching the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during RCB’s match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday night.
IPL Statement, “Mr. Kohli admitted to the Level 1 offense 2.2 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding.”
While batting against the SRH on Wednesday, Kholi was upset after he was dismissed for 33 off 29 balls and took out his anger on a chair in the RCB dugout.
Kohli was frustrated, after walking back to the RCB dugout, hits a chair with his bat as his other RCB teammates looked on.
The video of Kohli hitting the chair went viral on social media.
Kohli got out for 33 runs for the second successive IPL game while failing to get a fifty. The match prior against Mumbai Indians Kholi got out in the score of 33.
