Poems, Songs And Acts: Rally In Santiniketan In Support Of Amartya Sen

A rally was taken out in this university city in Bengal by intellectualists and original people on Friday against the eviction notice issued by Visva-Bharati to Nobel laureate Amartya Sen.

The protest also featured singing of Rabindra Nath Tagore’s songs, enumeration of Gurudev’s runes of kick and amusement of sections of dramatizations by him which reverberated with the occasion.

The rally by the rookie’ Samajik Maryada Raksha Committee’ (Social Dignity Protection Committee) was shared by intellectualists both from Santiniketan and Kolkata and locals in kick against the central university’s move.
