Ontario has recently is reported 401 new COVID-19 cases on Friday and no new deaths.
- The province reported 293 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday and three deaths.
- There are 46,077 cases of COVID-19 in the province.
- More than 35,800 tests were completed.
- There are 130 new cases in Toronto, 82 in Peel, 61 in Ottawa.
- 176 cases have been resolved.
- 67% of the new cases are in people under the age of 40.
The last time the province saw a number this high was on June 7, with 415 cases.
This jump in new COVID-19 cases comes one day after the province announced social gathering sizes will be decreased in Toronto, Ottawa and the Peel Region.
