After saying that he’s putting$ 44 billion Twitter deal on hold till he gets to know how numerous fake or spam accounts are present on the platform, Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Friday said that he’s still commited to the$ 44 billion accession.
“Twitter deal temporarily on hold pending details supporting computation that spam/ fake accounts do indeed represent lower than 5 per cent of druggies,”Musk said in a tweet to his over 92 million followers.
Twitter’s share price plunged on the news of the deal being put on hold.
He latterly twittered” Still committed to accession”.
His followers blasted the tweet, saying he has disturbed the platform,” pushing elderly staff to abdicate and through dubieties on its druggies”.
Still, it’s on you,” said one of his followers,”If Twitter collapses.
” Do commodity for factual people rather of buying Twitter,”another posted.
Twitter estimated in a form before this week that false or spam accounts represented smaller than 5 per cent of its monetisable diurnal active druggies during the first quarter.
Themicro-blogging platform had 229 million druggies in the first quarter.
Musk has inked a$ 44 billion deal to take over Twitter, of which he’ll pay$ 21 billion from his own fund while the rest will come as a loan from a institute of banks.
