According to a statement issued by Foreign Affairs Ministry, Canada decided to withdraw more staff from its embassy in Ukraine.
Xinhua, news agency has shared this statement that Canada has made the decision to withdraw its non-essential Canadian employees and remaining dependents from Canada embassy in Ukraine.
Canada will be reinforcing the team at that Canadian embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine,with officials with expertise in areas such as security sector reform ,conflict management, democratic reform, consular services and diplomacy,” said the statement.
On Sunday Canada’s Defense Minister Anita Anand arrived in Ukraine and informed the said at the press conference that Canada would continue to take all precautions necessary for the safety of the Canadian Armed Force.
The Embassy of Canada to Ukraine remains opens, providing consular assistance to Canadian Citizens. Under 18 years of age children are pulled out Canadian embassy staff’s and family members accompanying them.
Previously Canada updated its travel advisory suggesting that any non-essential Canadians should leave Ukraine. The decision came amid heightened concerns of a potential Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
