McDonald’s in Richmond closes due to employee case of COVID-19

McDonald’s Canada has announced that an employee at a Richmond restaurant has tested positive for COVID-19.A staff member working at the McDonald’s located at 8191 Alderbridge Way in Richmond reported testing positive for the virus.

The employee’s last shift was on November 14 from 7 am to noon

Since COVID-19, McDonald’s Canada said it has implemented the following health and safety measures:

Hand sanitizer dispensers available inside the restaurant
High-touch surfaces and guest tables will be kept clean and sanitized
Floor markers to help guests keep their distance from one another
Front counters are fitted with protective screens
Clearly-marking tables for dine-in to respect physical distancing
The number of guests permitted inside a restaurant at one time will be limited based on restaurant size. This also applies to outdoor seating areas
Employees will wear gloves for taking payment and serving guests, and will wear masks at all times while working in the restaurant. Guests are encouraged to wear a mask or face covering, and in some regions, masks or face coverings must be worn where required by public health authorities
Contactless payment options are available at the restaurant, and guests can also order using the McDonald’s mobile app and pay on their phone
