Lockdown Ontario-wide starts on Boxing Day to stop the spread of COVID-19. The Ontario-wide lockdown will not start on Christmas Eve.
The new lockdown rules suspend in-person shopping to even more retailers as the list of essential has also been narrowed and do not include pet stores and hardware stores.
Discount and big box retailers are allowed to open but will face even stricter capacity limit.
Remote-only learning in Ontario’s school even after holiday. Secondary schools to be closed until 25th Jan and Elementary schools to be closed until 11th Jan.
