India beats England by 66 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the ODI Series

India beats England by 66 runs in the 1st ODI due to excellent performance by all-rounder Krunal Pandya (58 not out off 31 balls) and pacer M. Prasidh Krishna (4/54). Both played a key role with bat and ball in India’s victory on Tuesday.

Batting first India made 317/5 wickets in 50 overs while England was all out for 251 in 42.1 overs.

Krunal and Krishna both made new records as Krunal scored the fastest half-century ever by a debutant in ODI cricket and Krishna got the best bowling figures by an Indian on ODI debutant.

Shikhar Dhawan for his 98 runs in 106 balls was awarded the Player of the Match.
