Hundreds march through Leicester amid violent clashes between Hindus and Muslims

A group of masked men marched through Leicester with one seen fortified with a 2×4 bottom piece of wood amid violent clashes between Hindus and Muslims, media reports said.

Fifteen people were arrested during a policing operation in east Leicester” to discourage farther complaint” on Sunday evening after another night of violence, which has continued to persecute the megacity in recent weeks, Daily Mail reported.

Footage has surfaced showing the brewing pressures between the two groups with mass marches showing hundreds of people inching upon Green Lane Road with veritably many police officers in sight to control the situation, the report said.

numerous officers were stationed to London for the Queen’s’s burial on Monday- but the chaos taking place in Leicester has led chiefs to redivert them back to the east midlands to be on hand to deal with any farther implicit uneasiness in Leicester.

Temporary Chief Constable Rob Nixon told LeicestershireLive that original officers had preliminarily been stationed to help cover the burial of Queen Elizabeth II which is anticipated to lead to a million people travelling to London to pay their felicitations to the late monarch.

still, a review was also carried out after violence and complaint broke out again in the east of Leicester on Saturday night. Some Leicestershire officers were recalled from the capital as a result and redundant officers have been drafted in from other forces to help.

Leicestershire Police had a’ large presence in Belgrave Road’ on Sunday autumn, as a crowd gathered for an unauthorised kick. A large number of people wearing masks also tried to march down the megacity’s golden afar, but the road was closed and the group was dispersed snappily, Daily Mail reported.

Nixon on Sunday night said there will continue to be a strong police presence on the thoroughfares of the megacity. He said” This continues to be a fast-moving situation, linked with a large-scale policing operation. We’re still using stop and hunt powers and any outbreaks of the complaint will be dealt with appreciatively. I’m repeating my call for calm.”

There were unattractive scenes across the east of the megacity on Sunday night, which began after police entered reports of an unauthorized kick involving up to 200 people marching towards Highfields. All available original officers were transferred to the scene incontinently in an attempt to engage with the crowd, while redundant officers were called in. But the protesters continued their march before the redundant officers arrived.

An opposing group also gathered. Police issued a disbandment order, but several other incidents of violence and complaints also broke out across the east of the megacity, Daily Mail reported. Footage has since surfaced of police applying bludgeons crying at people to get back as bottles were thrown, hardly missing officers.

videotape of fights breaking out on the thoroughfares surfaced Sunday with police breaking up the two groups– just hours after two apprehensions were made when disturbances broke out at an unplanned kick on Saturday night and the early hours of Sunday morning, Daily Mail reported. The trouble in the megacity came after a period of uneasiness between Hindi and Islamic communities in Leicester.

Violence first burned following the India v Pakistan Cricket match on August 28, which led to a number of incidents in the days that followed. still the situation appeared to be calming until last night.
