BRAMPTON, ON – Joined by hundreds of supporters, volunteers and family, Gurpartap Singh Toor officially kicked off his #VoteToor campaignfor Regional Councillor in Brampton Wards 9 and 10.
“I’m a strong believer that when times are tough, we all have a choice to make,” said Toor. “We can either watch from the sidelines and hope someone else does better, or we can roll up our sleeves and get the job done. I have never really been the type to watch from the sidelines.”
Toor spoke about the resilience of Brampton residents, especially during the pandemic and
called out the failures of the current Council.“Our local government has not been meeting the needs of our Brampton residents,” said Toor. “Our current incumbent Regional Councillor for this ward, has not been meeting the needs of residents. Instead, Brampton has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons – from failed lawsuits, harassment claims to delays in critical projects to move the City forward.”
It’s no secret that Brampton City Hall has been plagued by one scandal after another. Toor promised to put services over scandals and respect taxpayers.
Former Brampton Mayor, Linda Jeffrey, also attended the event and was a special guest speaker. Jeffrey shared that Toor is no stranger to City Hall, having worked in the Mayor’s Office for four years and has the knowledge and experience to get the job done.
“When our residents work hard each day to make a better life for their family, they deserve a Regional Councillor who works equally hard for them at city hall,” said Toor. “You deserve a Regional Councillor that shows up to work. This October, Vote Toor.”
