A 13-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by 3 men in her village located near Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh in India. The victim’s father filed a case but was killed in a road accident the next day.
The Uttar Pradesh police filed a case of gang-rape and criminal intimidation on Tuesday after the girl’s father filed a complaint.
As narrated by another family member of the victim when the victim was taken for a medical examination, her father stepped out for a cup of tea where he was killed in a road accident involving a truck.
The fathers of 2 of the gang rape accuse Deepu Yadav and Saurabh Yadav is a sub-inspector in Uttar Pradesh police and is posted in the Kannauj district in UP which is 100km away from Kanpur.
The 3rd accuse is Golu Yadav who has been arrested by the police.
The family of the victim accused the police and the family of the accused as they have been threatening them ever since the gang rape case was filed.
As per the statement of another family member of the victim the elder brother of the main accused has been threatening them that his father is a sub-inspector and they will commit the same brutality again.
As per the Police, the accident case has also been filed and is under investigation. Police also said as the girl’s father filed the complaint, a case of gang-rape and criminal intimidation has been filled immediately and an investigation is on. While the girl was taken to the hospital for medical investigation, her father stepped out for a cup of tea where he was killed in an accident involving a truck.
Police promised to carry out swift investigations in both cases as trying to recover the truck involved in the accident as well as arrest the driver.
Yogi Adityanath the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister has announced compensation and said no one will be spared.
