Finance minister Phillips resigns

Finance minister of Ontario Rod Phillips resigns and apologised for vacation in St. Barts during pandemic.

Rod Phillips resigned because of his key role in cabinet over his secret vacation in St. Barts island in the Caribbean while COVID-19 pandemic ran rampant in Ontario.

Premier Doug Ford said in a statement that he has accepted Rod Phillips’s resignation.

The finance minister in his statement apologized and said it was a dumb mistake.
