Ex-Nepal king Gyanendra Shah Tests Covid-19 positive after returning from Kumbh Mela in Haridwar.
Gyanendra Shah, the former king of Nepal has tested positive for Covid-19 after returning from India after participating in the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar.
Gyanendra and his wife Komal Shah returned to Nepal on Sunday underwent mandatory testing for Covid-19 and were tested positive for novel coronavirus.
Now the former king and his wife both are under home isolation and their contact tracing has also been started.
The couple left for India on 8th April and were tested negative for Covid-19.
The Ex-Nepal was invited by the Maha Kumbh Mela 2021 Special Committee to Haridwar.
Nepal’s former king also met Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Kailashanand Giri Maharaj of the Niranjani Akhara at Dakshin Kali Temple.
Gyanendra also addressed a gathering of sadhus and talked about the importance of the Hindu religion.
It was the 1st time Gyanendra Shah visited Haridwar on the occasion of the Kumbh Mela.
Tirath Singh Rawat, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, welcomed the Ex-Nepal king in his message, “Welcome to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand and Haridwar Kumbh. You are blessed by the saints and the Ganges”.
