Early morning fire in a house in Brampton where an elderly woman died and a man taken in custody.
The Incident occurred before 4 am when Peel police and fire crews responded to the fire call at Martindale Crescent in the McLaughlin Road and Williams Parkway area.
The house has 6 occupants, 5 of them were outside. The fire crew found a female victim at house who was pronounced deceased on the scene. Another female occupant was taken to hospital due to injuries.
According to neighbour the house is owned by a woman and man in their late 60’s and their daughter as well as two young children were also present at the house at the time of fire.
The fire crew worked hard to put out the fire.
What caused the fire is unknown however a 34 year old man was taken in to custody in this connection.
The police requested anyone with the information or surveillance video need to contact Crime Stoppers or Policed immediately.
