Former Indian justice platoon incentive Harbhajan Singh was left disappointed with the elision of Yuzvendra Chahal from India’s team for the ODI series against Australia and the Cricket World Cup 2023. India went with the spin triad of Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja but an injury to Axar paved the way for Washington Sundar in the Asia Cup 2023 team and Ravichandran Ashwin in the team for the Australia ODIs. Harbhajan was surprised by the decision to not give Chahal a chance and said that perhaps he’d fought with someone or had said commodity to someone that had impacted his chances of getting named.
“Yuzvendra Chahal should have been then. He has not been given an occasion. It’s beyond my understanding. Either he has fought with someone or he has said commodity to someone, I do notknow.However, his name should have been there in this platoon because a lot of Team India players are resting,” Harbhajan said on his sanctioned YouTube channel, If we talk only about skill.
Harbhajan also refocused out that both Washington Sundar and Ravichandran Ashwin weren’t part of the original plan and it can point to the fact that the platoon operation is looking for an out- incentive.
“First Washington Sundar, who was not in the original Asia Cup team, was called there. After that, a alternate player has been added for this series and that’s R Ashwin. So nearly or the other Team India are searching for out-baits. They’ve presumably realized their mistake that they have not picked an out- incentive in the platoon and that our bowlers can get into trouble if a lot of left- handers come in front of them. Why unnecessarily go through all this? It’s beyond my understanding
