President Donald Trump said he will not attend Joe Biden’s inauguration 20th January 2021.

Trump will be first incumbent president after Andrew Johnson not to attend his successor President’s swearing-in ceremony.

According to the tradition outgoing and incoming Presidents ride to the U.S. Capitol together for the swearing-in ceremony which signifies nation’s peaceful transition.

Former President George W. and Laura Bush as well as Former President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama will attend the swearing-in ceremony.

Trump’s decision to skip the swearing-in ceremony came two days after Trump’s supports stormed the US Capitol on Wednesday.
