New Delhi A thick mask of poisonous haze enveloped Delhi for the alternate successive day as the air quality deteriorated to the “severe plus” order moment, egging the AAP-led Delhi government to shut primary seminaries for two days.
Delhi’s 24-hour average air quality indicator stood at 468 on Friday which falls in the” severe plus” order, a stage at which all exigency measures, including a ban on contaminating exchanges, marketable four-wheelers, and all types of construction, are commanded to be initiated and executed in the National Capital Region.
How bad the air pollution was in the once 24 hours?
According to an analysis by Respirer Reports, a part of Respirer Living lores, the position of PM 2.5, Particulate Matter (PM) with lower than 2.5 micrometres in periphery, crossed the 600 micrograms/boxy metre mark in at least six places while the average PM 2.5 position was lower.

In all, ‘severe’ air quality i.e. PM 2.5 situations above 250 micrograms/boxy metre were reported at 51 monitoring stations, nearly all of them in the Delhi- NCR region.
