US Announces $250 Million In New Military Aid For Ukraine

The United States on Tuesday blazoned a new $250 million military backing package for Ukraine that includes outfit for clearing mines and obstacles.

Kyiv’s forces are floundering to make substantial earnings in a counterattack launched before this summer that has run into tough Russian defenses including minefields, fosses and tank obstacles.

The backing will “help Ukraine athwart Russia’s ongoing war of aggression on the battleground and cover its people,” the Pentagon said in a statement.

Also included in the package are air defense dumdums, ordnance rounds, anti-armor dumdums and further than three million rounds of small arms security.

The United States has commanded the drive for transnational support for Ukraine, snappily forging an transnational coalition to back Kyiv after Russia raided in February 2022 and coordinating aid from dozens of countries.

“I’m thankful to all American people, the Congress and personally to President Joseph Biden. for the new defense package,” Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky posted on Z, formerly known as Twitter.
