Ford knew about finance minister’s holiday vacation

Ford knew about finance minister’s holiday vacation

Premier Doug Ford informed public that two weeks ago he knew about finance minister’s holiday vacation.

Ford asked Rod Phillips to return back to Ontario when he found that he was out of country on a vacation.  He also said that he didn’t know that finance minister was traveling and Ford also regret he did not asked Phillips to return home right away.

Ford said he upset with the situation as his Government is asking people to stay home and avoid travel as well as people losing business due to restrictions so it is unacceptable for an elected official to ignore rules and go to an island for a vacation.

Rod Phillips also regrets travelling over the holidays and apologizes for his mistake.
