Pak Court Grants Permission To Police To Arrest Imran Khan In May 9 Riot Case

In another blow to Imran Khan, a Pakistani court has granted authorization to police to arrest and probe the jugged high minister in connection to the May 9 vandalization incident at Lahore’s Corps Commander’s House, more known as Jinnah House, it surfaced on Thursday.

The 70-year-old Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf president is presently lodged in the Attock District Jail in Pakistan’s Punjab fiefdom after his conviction in the Toshakhana corruption case before this month.

The Anti-terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore issued the order to arrest and probe Imran Khan in relation to the vandalization incident on May 9 at the Jinnah House in response to a solicitation filed by the Lahore police disquisition chief, the Express Tribune review reported on Thursday.

The police stated the necessity to probe and arrest the former high minister for his alleged involvement in the Jinnah House wildfire case.

An disquisition platoon would be transferred to Attock Jail to probe the PTI president. The platoon would submit its report to the court, the report said quoting police sources.

According to Press Trust of India, the sources said for the time being Khan’s arrest in the wildfire case would be kept on hold.

Pakistan saw massive civilanti-government demurrers following the arrest of Imran Khan by civil Rangers in a corruption case on May 9. Imran Khan was latterly released on bail.

Dozens of service installations and government structures, including the Corps Commander’s House in Lahore and the military headquarters in Rawalpindi, were damaged or burned during the screams.
