Gujarat claims 34 lives with Covid-19 infection on Thursday. The overall death rates move from 10,579, while 7,606 new cases mounted its infection tally 11,85,537 till date.
The death tolls remain high with as many as 402 persons capitulate to the virus in the past 16 days.
The number of fresh cases has been dipping the state. From the time limit from January 19 to 31 , the state recorded 103 fatalities only in three days of February.
Ahmedabad reported the most number of deaths on Thursday at 10, followed by Surat (6), Vadodara (4), Bharuch (3), Rajkot, Gandhinagar and Bhavnagar (2 each), and Jamnagar, Panchmahals, Morbi, Valsad and Kheda .
Of the 7,606 fresh cases reported on Thursday, Ahmedabad led the chart with 3,165 infections, followed by Vadodara (1,413), Gandhinagar (525), Rajkot (410), Surat (389), Mehsana (230), Anand (151), Banaskantha (149), Patan (128), Kheda (123), Bharuch (116), and Kutch (111), among others.
Current Covid-19 infected active cases are 63.534,out of which 63,298 are stable while 266 persons are on ventilation
The recovery rate till now is to 11,11,394. A total of 13,195 patients were discharged on Thursday.
Over 3.87 lakh doses of covid vaccines were administered on Thursday, taking the statewide total to above 9.90 crore.
