The Central Government of India on Monday announced that everyone above the age of 18 will be eligible to get a Covid-19 vaccine from 1st May.
This decision was taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a meeting.
The Prime Minister said, “The Government has been working hard for over a year to ensure that maximum numbers of Indians are able to get the vaccine in the shortest possible time.
India is vaccinating people at world record pace and we will continue this with even greater momentum”.
According to the government pricing, procurement, eligibility, and administration of vaccines will be flexible in the 3rd Phase of the largest vaccination drive in the world.
