103-year-old Kameshwari J becomes the oldest woman in India to get Covid-19 vaccine

103-year-old Kameshwari J along with her 77-year-old son got vaccinated for Covid-19 at Bengaluru’s Apollo Hospitals located at Bannerghatta Road.

After this, she became the oldest woman in India to get the Covid-19 vaccine. Kameshwari did not report any side effects after the vaccine was administered.

As senior citizens are more vulnerable to Covid-19 infection that the reason they are being prioritized in the on-going session of vaccination in India.

Before Kameshwari, 100-year-old Shashikala Joshi from Mumbai was the oldest woman to get vaccinated in India.

On Tuesday another 103-year-old man Mahabir Prasad Maheshwari in Noida, Uttar Pradesh took his first dose of vaccine.

Although claims around age are arguable. Mahabir was accompanied by his 81-year-old son Sudarshan Dayal who informed that his father fit and fine after vaccination.
