3 Bloggers arrested in China for raising question on the official account of Galwan Valley clash

3 Bloggers arrested in China for questioning the official Chinese version of the Galwan Valley clash on 15th June 2020.

An investigating journalist Qiu Ziming (38) was arrested on Saturday in Nanjing as he questioned the number of soldiers who died during the Galwan Valley clash reported by China. India claimed about 45 Chinese soldiers died during the clash a number of times while China acknowledges only 4 soldiers died and one got injured. According to Qiu more soldiers have died in the clash as well as why it took China 8 months to accept that its casualties while India immediately announced the number of its soldiers who died during the Galwan Valley clash.

Another journalist was arrested for raising the same questions in Beijing on Sunday, however his details are unknown.

A third person was detained for one week in Sichuan for insulting PLA soldiers killed during Galwan Valley clash.

On Friday China announced honor for 5 PLA soldiers that included 4 who died during the Galwan Valley clash and a commander who got injured during the clash.
