India has outplayed England completely in the second Test. They have levelled the 4-match series 1-1 after beating England by 317 runs.
Ravichandran Ashwin was the big impact player for Team India, with both ball and bat at his home ground Chennai.
Chasing a total of 482 on a spinning pitch England was all out for 164 on the 4th day. This loss ended England’s 6 match win streak away from home.
Ashwin also broke Harbhajan Singh’s record of most wickets (265) at home. Ashwin currently has 269 wickets in Indian ground.
The overall score was India 329 & 286 and England 134 & 164 on both of their innings. India won by 317 runs on Day 4.
With 4 match series levelled 1-1 both teams move to Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad for the remaining two test matches before the limited over series begins.
